To all whom it may Concern:
Know Ye, That Benjamin Franklin Myers a Private of Captain James B. Doney's Company, (18,){?} Second Regiment of Heavy Artillery Ohio VOLUNTEERS, who was enrolled on the Third{?} day of August one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three{?} to serve Three{?} years or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States this Twenty Third day of August, 1865, at Nashville Tennessee by reason of being mustered out in accordance with {illegible}. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.*)
Said Benjamin F. Myers was born in Fayette Co. in the state of Ohio, is Eighteen years of age, Five feet Six inches high, Light complexion, Grey eyes, Light hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a Farmer.
Given at Nashville Tenn. this Twenty-third day of August, 1865.

*This sentence will be erased should there by anything in the conduct or physical condition of the soldier rendering him unfit for the Army.
