In the name and by the Authority of The Ohio Military Institute, College Hill, Ohio.

To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

Know Ye, That reposing special trust and condidence in the patriotism, valor, fidelity and ability of John Wililiam Myers, Jr.

Therefore, By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Rules and Regulation of this institution, I, as Commandant, do hereby appoint and commission him Cadet in the Battalion of the Ohio Military Institute.  He shall take rank as such from the first day of June 1925, upon condition that he shall pass a satisfactory examination in Military Tactics; and I do hereby authorize and require him to discharge, all and singular, the duties and services appertaining to said office agreeable to the Rules and Regulations of the Institution, and to obey such orders and instructions has he shall, from time to time, receive from his superior officers.&npsp: This Commission to continue in force during the pleasure of the Commandant of the Institute.

Ohio Military Institute.  June 1st A.D. 1925.  In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my name and caused the seal of the Institute to be affixed, at College Hill, Ohio, this first day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty five and in the one hundred and forty ninth year of the Independence of the United States of America.
