KNOW all Men by these Presents, that we Samuel Myers and Jacob Myers are held and firmly bound unto Robert Brooke Esquire Governor or chief magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the Sum of FIFTY POUNDS current money, to which payment well and truly to be made to the said Governor and his successors, for the use of the Commonwealth, we bind ourselves and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these Presents, sealed with our Seals, and dated this Eleventh day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety five.

THE condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Samuel Myers & Elizabeth Smith. If therefore there be no lawful case to obstruct the same, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in force and virtue.
